You can participate by registering now and raising funds. Then, on Sunday, by getting outside and walking, running, bike riding, skipping rope or hula hooping in your neighbourhood, or even your backyard, following all COVID-19 protocols.

If you take a photo of yourself or your team during the event and send it to Laurie Pangman-Carriere, Georgina Terry Fox Run organizer, you will have the chance to win a prize. To enter, email the photo to Mikeirual@hotmail.com with the subject line: 2021 GTFR Active.

If you are unable to participate in the run, you can still contribute by donating directly to the Georgina Terry Fox Run. Donations will be accepted until the end of the year.

The run is to honour those who fought cancer, those who fight cancer, and those who have survived cancer, Pangman-Carriere said in an email.

“Every person counts, and so does every dollar for cancer research to find a cure and improve care treatments,” she said.

You can buy a 2021 Terry Fox Run t-shirt at Keswick Canadian Tire and Sutton Home Hardware.
