Visiting a farm can be more than just buying fresh fruit and veggies. At ClearWater farm it is also about embracing art, unleashing creativity, and engaging everyone in eco-friendly initiatives.
The newest project calls on all kids ages 8 to 14 to answer a provocative question: “What can kids do WAY BETTER than adults to help the planet?”
One of the early entries says, “Children aren’t afraid to play in the rain, get close to the wet ground and care for each plant. They can harvest carefully and use underground composts to help soil.”
If you are in this age group, it is time to submit your answer! It can be in the form of a drawing, a poster you design yourself, a video or audio recording, or in writing. Then – get ready for a mind-bending experience at the “Think, Feel, and Do Tank” on August 21st and 22nd, 2024 at ClearWater farm!
For 2 days young participants will join forces to dream up a better future for us all. They can expect music, art, science, and loads of fun. They will need an appetite, not just for thought-provoking discussions, but also for delicious fresh veggies straight from the farm!
The first event of the season kicks off this Saturday, July 6th with Michelle Richards-Clermont, the local artist, leading the way at the Paint ClearWater event.
Everyone is welcome to spend a day painting outdoors on the scenic farm. The highlight will be a 2-hour painting competition, followed by an art exhibition at the barn. Whether you’re eager to participate, or you want simply to experience the creative buzz, you are welcome to join in the fun!
This event coincides with the season’s first Open House—a day for families to enjoy shopping, delicious food, and live music. You can also stretch your mental health muscles with morning yoga, explore the farm, and join in artistic programs suitable for all ages.
