York Regional Police are appealing for witnesses following a double homicide at Keswick’s Bayview Park this morning.
According to a YRP Media Release, on Tuesday, September 18, at 7:28 a.m., police responded to residents’ reports of gunshots in the area of Bayview Avenue and Lowdnes Avenue in Keswick.
When officers arrived, they located two adult victims with gunshot wounds in Bayview Park. They were both pronounced deceased at the scene.
The YRP Homicide Unit, the release states, is treating this as an isolated incident, and believes there is no immediate threat to the public.
Investigators are asking anyone who was in the area at the time, or lives in the neighbourhood, to check their security cameras and dashcam footage.
