One person is deceased as a result of a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 48 and High Street.
According to the OPP media release, the accident occurred this morning, just before 9:00 a.m.
The OPP’s Aurora Detachment Highway Safety Division (HSD) responded to a two-vehicle collision involving a dump truck and a passenger vehicle at Highway 48 and High Street.
OPP say the lone driver of a black BMW, a 31-year-old man from Georgina, was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported.
Police say Highway 48 will remain closed between Park Road and Ravenshoe Road for the next several hours.
