Oh, to be lucky enough to start work every day with a smile, knowing unparalleled laughter will follow.
This is reality for Melissa Parasco, owner of the Georgina Pup Bus. After initial bus and pup safety preparation is done, the literal “Joy Ride” begins.
Dog lovers understand the happiness that lifts our spirits when greeted by our pets after being away. The excited barking, the body shaking tail wags and the hilarious doggy dances that just cannot be contained. At present Melissa feels this light heartedness everyday times 12, (a pack of 6 dogs twice a day.)
Her fur clients that are on a leash almost pull their owners over, they are so excited to get on the bus. Others run straight to Melissa, overjoyed because they will have 50 minutes of off leash/free run, fun in the more than half acre private enclosure on Ravenshoe Road, plus the travelling time on the bus with their buddies.
This type of exercise is better than traditional leash walking as there is pack socializing for better development.

Melissa’s love of everything dog, blossomed at the age of 10 spending time with her mother at the Scugog Animal Shelter. Then 6 years upping her experience, volunteering. She is now certified in Animal Behavior and Pet first Aid.
Initially she began her business doing non kennel boarding for family and friends. Then the fully insured Georgina Pup Bus was born, runs starting in Keswick and soon to expand to all of Georgina.
The extreme planning that protects your pup include precision opening gates that line up with the open bus doors for safe loading and unloading, leashes to attach to mandatory dog harnesses, an app on her phone to control the doors so that they cannot be opened by accident.
Also, all dogs must already be socialized and vaccinated.
