
TORONTO — Ontario is reporting 425 new cases of COVID-19 today, along with two new deaths related to the virus.
Health Minister Christine Elliott says there are 175 new cases in Toronto, 84 in Peel Region and 60 in Ottawa.
She says 67 per cent of the new cases are in people under the age of 40.
The province is also reporting 18 new COVID-19 cases related to schools, including at least eight among students.
The new cases bring the total number of schools with a reported case to 75 out of Ontario’s 4,828 publicly-funded schools.
The province says it processed 31,753 tests over the previous day.
