Southlake Regional Health Centre will not be accepting visitors, except under extenuating circumstances, effective March 19, according to a media release issued today.
All patients will also be screened before entering the hospital.
“To ensure the most efficient screening process, Southlake has currently restricted access to the main campus. You will be asked about any travel history and if you are experiencing any symptoms,” the release states.
In addition, Southlake will be reducing scheduled and elective services and outpatient activity in order to “generate capacity for potential COVID-19 cases.”
“Patients are currently being notified. Southlake staff will contact you when your visit can be rescheduled and we will be announcing when we can return to regular activities,” the release adds.
