The Georgina Nurse Practitioner-Led Clinic is hosting a Men’s Health Pop-Up Clinic on Monday, Nov. 16, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at 21071 Dalton Road.

Men aged 45 and older can discuss prostate and colon cancer screening at this special clinic in Sutton. Getting checked is an important way for Georgina residents to take charge of their health.

John Holbrook, clinic director and a nurse practitioner, said the event is intended to give men a comfortable place to discuss health concerns and ask questions they may have been reluctant to raise.

“As a man and a nurse practitioner, I know how difficult it can be to talk about men’s health concerns,” Holbrook said. “I’m offering this clinic to create a comfortable, judgment-free space where men can speak openly, ask questions, and discuss concerns they may have been putting off.”

Holbrook said he wants men to feel heard and supported as they seek the care they need.

Southlake’s Regional Prevention and Screening Program supports the initiative, which aims to encourage men to take a proactive approach to their health and learn more about cancer prevention and screening.

The clinic is expecting approximately six to 10 men, based on the number of appointments available.

Book appointments in advance through the Georgina Nurse Practitioner-Led Clinic. The event is not a drop-in clinic, and spaces are limited.

Men interested in attending can call 905-722-3251 to book an appointment.
