Investigators with the York Regional Police Major Collision Investigation Unit are seeking witnesses following a fatal collision in the Town of Georgina.
On Sunday, July 18, 2021, at approximately 6:45 p.m., police were called to the area of Glenwoods Avenue and Kennedy Road for a report of a collision involving a white Toyota Sienna van and a white Yamaha dirt bike.
The driver of the dirt bike, an 18-year-old man from Georgina, was pronounced deceased in hospital.
The driver and passenger in the van were not injured.
Any witnesses who have not yet spoken with police, or anyone who may have dashcam footage of the collision, are being asked to please come forward.
