Investigators with the York Regional Police #3 District Criminal Investigations Bureau are seeking suspects and appealing to the public for information after shots were fired in the Town of Georgina.
On Monday, July 17, 2023, at 2:35 a.m., York Regional Police received a call for the sound of gunshots on Danny Wheeler Boulevard near the south end of Valleo Street.
There were reports of people yelling andvehicles driving at a high rate of speed.
Investigators determined that multiple gunshots had been fired at approximately 1:55 a.m., damaging a house and two vehicles parked in the driveway.
There were several people found in the area, but no reports of any injuries.
Investigators believe this was an isolated incident and there is no threat to public safety.
Investigators urge any witnesses who have not yet spoken with police to come forward.
Anyone with information about this crime, or a video recording from the area around the time, such as from a vehicle dashcam, cell phone or security system, is asked to contact police as soon as possible.
