The Free Spirit Fest returns to ClearWater Farm on Saturday, June 6, and promises a day of healing, connection, and spirituality. Registration for the fourth annual event begins at 9:30 a.m. with opening ceremonies at 10 a.m.
Jennifer Aves is the creator of the event and the owner of Balance Health Solutions in Sutton. Aves has spent the last decade living lakeside in Georgina, cold plunging in Lake Simcoe and looking for ways to spread kindness in her community.
“Free Spirit Fest is a place to reconnect, reset, heal, and remember that you are not alone,” said Aves.
Every ticket includes a cold plunge and sauna experience, giving attendees a chance to try contrast therapy, which is a recovery technique involving rapid alternation between hot and cold exposure.
Anton C attended last year and said, “Free Spirit Fest opened me up to new experiences like breathwork and I was amazed by how grounded, calm, and renewed I felt afterward.”

New this year is a soulful Writers Round hosted by Bernadette Connors, featuring guest musicians Neil Chapman, Pat James, and Amanda Crowell. This session will blend music and storytelling.
Other workshops and experiences include transformative sound healing by Chakana Retreats, high-energy ecstatic dance led by DJ JustAmin, and a grounding, mindful connection session with Shilpi Banerjee. Rhythmic By Nature brings the community together through a powerful drum circle, while Nisha Shanti leads a flowing mindful practice and Ivy Henriksen presents “Our Tissues Hold Issues” which focuses on the stored emotional energy within the body.
Marcia Agius of The Kindness Circle shares the power of kindness, and Abbie Ibrahim from Dare to Rise offers insights on personal transformation and resilience for single mothers.
Popular events back again from last year include Joey Damiani’s breathwork session, Brian Coones’s releasing kirtan experience, and a dance yoga session led by Krista Yonge.
The festival also showcases local vendors and food options. Bring a food donation for the Georgina Food Pantry in lieu of $5 parking.
