SnoFest returns to the ROC on Saturday, February 3 with a lineup of activities for the whole family.
“In Georgina we don’t run from winter – we celebrate it! SnoFest is an excellent way to spend an afternoon with family and friends doing all kinds of fun, free activities,” Mayor Margaret Quirk said.
“With ice carving demo’s, face painting, character meet and greets, igloo dance party, wagon rides and inflatables, kids big and small are sure to have a great time.”
Parkway activities during SnoFest include a bounce house, obstacle course, dual lane slide, Viking axe throw, gladiator jousting, fantasy basketball, baseball, hockey and skeeball, and a penguin fish fling game.
The snowbox play area will include an obstacle course, ice block play and snow painting.
“New this year is the fireworks display that will get underway at 6:00 p.m. Our events team works hard to put on this great event every year, and I would also like to acknowledge our sponsors who make it all possible,” Mayor Quirk said.
Homestead Orchard wagon rides will be available from 1:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and complimentary rides to and from the ROC Chalet and Canteen event areas are available as well.
Admission to SnoFest is free, but regular prices are in effect for ROC all-access tickets and chalet menu items.
New this season at the ROC are ski and snowboard rentals. They now offer daily rental packages (two hours) for $35.00 plus HST, lesson rental packages (four weeks or eight weeks) for $100.00 or $200.00 plus HST. They also rent individual items based on availability.
“I look forward to seeing everyone there and be sure to bundle up,” Mayor Quirk said.
Snofest runs from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m at the ROC, (26479 Civic Centre Rd, Keswick).
