The Georgina Chamber of Commerce is opening its doors to local creativity. It is unveiling its Love Local Consignment Program, designed to spotlight local makers and give residents and visitors another great way to support homegrown talent.

The program aims to boost local businesses, showcase Georgina’s talent, and give shoppers a simple way to find gifts made close to home.

The Chamber also hopes the new shop will encourage more people to stop by the office, where staff can connect them with local businesses, services, events, and community resources

The program is open to Georgina-based makers, producers, and independent businesses that are Chamber members. Eligible products must be locally made, designed, or strongly tied to the community, and items must be retail ready.

Product categories include packaged food and beverages, arts and crafts, home and lifestyle goods, and Georgina-themed items. Local gift cards, a popular request among residents, will also be available.

Vendors will participate on a consignment basis. For products, members receive 75% of the retail price, while the Chamber retains 25% to support operations and marketing. For gift cards, the split is 90% to the business and 10% to the Chamber.

The Chamber will handle merchandising, sales, inventory tracking, and promotional support, including social media spotlights and seasonal features. Vendors are encouraged to help promote the shop through their own channels.
