If you want to break free from the mundane, this festival is for you.

Step into a world where the rhythm of your breath intertwines with the beat of the music, and your body finds liberation through mindful movement.

From yoga sessions to NIA dancing, you will find a multitude of opportunities to rejuvenate your mind, body, and spirit.

The inaugural Georgina Free Spirit Festival is being organized by two local businesswomen, Jacinda Yang and Jennifer Aves. Yang acknowledges that the initial spark for this event came from Stephanie Simpson of Yspace, who planted the seed of the idea.

Recognizing the impact of prolonged isolation during the Covid lockdowns, they realized the need for people to come together, particularly for an opportunity to nourish both mind and body.

Jacinda Yang and Jennifer Aves are both successful business owners in the field of holistic healing, with many satisfied clients and devoted followers who eagerly stepped forward to support them.  In just a few months, the organizers managed to secure sponsorship from over 25 benefactors hailing from various parts of Canada, and even abroad! They also received a grant from the Town of Georgina.

The festival will feature renowned performers, such as the Chinese Dragon Dancers and Cirque Revolution. In addition to yoga sessions, meditation, dances, sound healing, and inspirational speakers, attendees will have the pleasure of enjoying local food and music by Georgina artists, including Neil Chapman & the Bad Brothers, Lee Whalen, Erin Blackstock, Darryl Huang, Jayme Lynne & Band, and Pasit Banjongpanth.

Free Spirit Festival takes place at Clearwater Farm on July 2 from 9.30 am to 9pm. Festival pass: $20.  For more information visit the festival website:
