Although Valentine’s Day is fast approaching, there is still time to make plans.
If you are looking for a romantic dinner, many local restaurants are running Valentine’s Day specials all weekend long.

Other ideas to do this Valentine’s weekend include snowshoeing at The ROC. Every weekend throughout the winter The ROC offers free snowshoe rental and use of their trails.
There are also many walking trails in Georgina for a romantic or family walk as the weather gets milder.
One local mother, Crystal Campbell, is spending her Valentine’s Day delivering valentines hand made by her son, Jace. Her friends, in return, will be delivering valentines to him.
“I’ve started the Valentine’s Fairy Trade with local friends, to try and bring some normalcy to my son’s life. He’s four and spent most of his life indoors, unable to make friends or experience normal kid things that we did as children,” she said.
She said she has fond memories of decorating a valentine box and cards when she was a kid.
“I wanted my son to experience that as well, what it felt like to make someone else feel important by giving something as simple as a heart cut out of red paper with their name on it.”
She says it’s an idea others can do with their own family friend groups with whom they feel comfortable sharing addresses.
