Milwaukee Tool has officially opened its first Canadian Service Hub in Georgina, bringing more than 80 full-time jobs, faster repair times and another major tenant to the growing Keswick Business Park at 1 Logistic Ct., near the corner of Woodbine Ave. and Biscayne Blvd.

“This hub is more than a service facility. It reflects our long-term commitment to the communities where Canadian tradespeople live and work,” said John Myers, president of Milwaukee Tool Canada.

On May 19, Myers and Mayor Margaret Quirk cut the ribbon on the new 54,000-square-foot facility, which employs 86 people, including 30 local hires.

“Milwaukee Tool’s new Service Hub strengthens our local economy, creates employment opportunities, and also highlights Georgina’s growing reputation as a strategic destination for business,” Mayor Quirk said.

“I’m very proud that we are the first Canadian service hub. It’s amazing to see what they have planned, with the turnaround time from when a tool comes in the door to when it goes back out being potentially under three days.”

Milwaukee Tool says the service hub will eventually repair 100,000 tools a year, with local tradespeople and DIYers able to drop off their tools directly to the building for repair.

“The customer service representative will be right at the front desk,” said Plant Manager John Hillock. “If a customer has a tool that needs to be fixed, they can drop it off here and get it repaired.”

Milwaukee Tool also offers an e-service option that allows customers to register the repair online, print a waybill, and ship the tool to the hub, with free shipping both ways. The Keswick facility will initially handle all e-service repairs in Eastern Canada.

“Fixing tools is one of the most important things we do for our customers,” Myers said. “We’ve been looking to add square footage in our factory service centres, especially in Eastern Canada, for a few years now. This is a big commitment for us to make sure we’re taking care of our customers, our end users and the tradespeople.”

Myers also pledged to support skilled trades in Georgina.

“We’re really excited to be part of the community,” Myers said. “Whether that means partnering with local trade schools, supporting workforce development, or simply being a good neighbour, we’re here for the long haul.”

Hillock pointed out that the facility was already hosting visits from teachers and principals from local high schools with co-op programs.

“The community has been so welcoming,” Hillock added. “We’ve had a lot of people from the community come in and apply for jobs, and we’ve done our best to get them employed here.”

The arrival of Milwaukee Tool, a well-known national brand, builds on the recent momentum at the Keswick Business Park.

In 2025, the business park added Pulp Moulded Products Inc. and Imperial Dade as tenants, joining Turf Care Canada, the building’s first tenant. Together, the new companies are expected to create more jobs and attract additional investment to the community.

“The Keswick Business Park continues to add more jobs, more tax base, and more economic growth,” Mayor Quirk said. “We want to work with our existing businesses, obviously, as much as we can. But it’s always good to attract new businesses as well, because that’s key to keeping an economy growing and a municipality vibrant.”
